Meet the Mystics B.O.D



         

Everett McBride


President

Everett has been a regular at the Q since October of 2013. Prior to that he had run the lake many times as a member of the Avco (Textron) Striders running club from Wilmington Ma. He volunteers many Wednesday nights helping with the registration set up. He has been a member of the Mystics for five years, and he said he will bring positive energy to the Q every Wednesday night. 

 

Maria Canino


Vice President
Maria was elected to vice president in 2019. 
She has been a member since 2016 and has been running since 2014. She volunteers when she can on Wednesday night. Maria is also the Grand Prix Race Director and can be found at all the races taking photos of runners in their Mystic blue.
        

Monique Plourde


 Club Secretary

Monique was elected secretary in 2018. She has been a member of the Mystics since 2015 and has been running since 2012. She volunteers often on Wednesday nights and is a frequent participant in Tuesday night track and the monthly Grand Prix races. She has also been on the committee for the Boston Marathon Suite.

 

Dave Parziale



Treasurer

Dave was elected Treasurer in 2019.  Dave has been running since 2009 and joined the Mystics in 2016. You can usually find Dave either running or volunteering at the Q on Wednesdays, training at Track on Tuesdays, as well as participating in Grand Prix races each month. Dave has volunteered at our annual Mystic Classic and is now in charge of Club Merchandise.
 
 

Dave Corbett

Board Member 
at large
Dave has been a Mystic Runner since 2007. 
 In that time he has served as President, Vice President, 
and At Large Board Member.  You can often find Dave 
volunteering on a Wednesday night at the Lake Q run. 
Dave is the current Race Director of the Mystic Runners Classic.

Dave Greaves


Board Member At-large

David was elected an at-large member of the board in 2018. 
He started running in 2011 and joined the Mystics in 2013. 
His primary goal is to foster and maintain a positive club 
atmosphere and experience for members of all backgrounds 
and ability level. David has supported and continues to 
support the club through volunteerism at the Q, 
the Mystics Classic, and BAA events.

    

Alan Foulds


Alan served as president 2014 and was a long-time secretary of the club. In addition, he has edited NewSprint, the club newsletter, for 12 years. He has been in charge of the Marathon Draw (both the gathering and compiling of statistics, as well as the event itself) for a decade. He is founder of our current Grand Prix program and was its first director. He had two stints as director of the Lake Q 5K  and was the organizer of the club's first foray at the Cabot Trail Relay. He proposed the creation of the Founders' Award. Alan chaired the committee charged with finalizing our bylaws back in 2007, and has helped write amendments on several occasions since they were originally written. He has served on the banquet committee and has worked with both Ace Foulds and Jen Dodge on the year-end club video. 
 

Katie Cronin


Board Member at large

Katie joined the Mystics in May 2017 after she had been running for a year.  She participates in the Grand Prix, the Lake Q 5k and relay races.  Katie has been on the banquet committee and has assisted with the banquet video.  She has volunteered for the Boston Marathon packet stuffing, BAA Half Marathon water stop, BAA 10k bib distribution, the Mystic Classic and the weekly Lake Q 5k.  She helped organize the Boston Marathon suite in 2019.  Katie also assists the merchandise manager with ordering and selling Mystic gear.  

Bethany Mayo

Board Member
at-large

Bethany has been having fun with all types of running events since 2013. In 2015 she joined the Mystics and has since been a regular at the Lake Q5k. Hailing from NH, she particularly enjoys mountain running -however she’ll use any excuse to be outside and enjoying the company of her fellow club members.
   




 
 
 
 
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:Mystic Runners Board of Directors: Are you interested in getting more involved with the administration of the club? Do you want to know more about what happens behind the scenes to make us the best club around 😉? At the end of the year, we will have our Board of Directors elections. Our monthly board meetings are open to all active members and we welcome you to stop in and see what that is all about. We would love to see more participation from our club members in our administration, event planning, volunteerism, etc. Just ask any of the board members for more info .
