I started running in high school where I did cross country, indoor and outdoor track all 4 years stopping completely after graduating. It wasn't until about 2 months ago that my friend Alicia talked me into coming with her to run the lake with the Mystics. I was bored with the gym so I thought I would give it a try and now I am hooked. Running is just a great form of exercise that is a welcomed change from my typical regime of spinning and bootcamp. I didn't really prepare for running prior to the Q. I think that all the cardio I was doing at the gym helped me a ton. I belong to both The Mystics and Melrose running club so I run Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Lately I have been running road races on the weekend with some people from the club. My next goal is to complete a 10K. I joined The Mystics after meeting all of the people every Wednesday nights after the runs. Everyone was so nice and fun to hang out with. I figured if I was coming every week I might as well join.
