New Member Profile (Dan Dodson)

Many of you know Dan Dodson from the Wed night 5k Fun Run. If you don't know Dan, you probably have heard of him or seen him at one of the races.

Dan runs in the 60+ plus age group. Back in his 40s, he ran 6 marathons and 1 ultramarathon (50K = 31.7 miles)

Favorite Race --- Tara's Run 5k in Easthampton, Mass. every November 11th. It honors a gal named Tara Sheehan on her birthday who died of anorexia in her 20's. Her parents and brother are the most wonderful people. It's a very low key, small race held on a prep school x-c course where Tara ran as a high-schooler. I will do this race every year as long as I am able.

Races Ran the Most --- the Methuen High School Alumni Race --- held the day before Thanksgiving Day each year -- Wed. at 1:00pm. Great to see former students, teachers, and classmates at this annual reunion. Over The River and Through The Woods 5K -- Concord, N.H. -- 1st Thursday of October at 5:45pm -- literally does go over a bridge on the Merrimack River twice AND through some woods on a trail. N.H. Marathon at Newfound Lake 5K racewalk --- Dan won this event 5 years in a row! It is in Bristol, N.H. M
