Running & Giving Back

Our club has been donating to the Mission Of Deeds for several years as a way to give back to the community.

With your participation in the Wed Night Fun Run, your membership,

and other contributions, "we" have helped others in need.

"Mission of Deeds is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization located in Reading, Massachusetts that provides beds, furniture and basic household items, free of charge, to those in need living in Middlesex and Essex counties."

"Mission of Deeds has helped over 8,000 households. Our clients are families, the disabled and mentally ill, the isolated elderly, victims of fire or other tragedy and very often, mothers transistioning from homeless or battered women's shelters. Most of our clients have just obtained an apartment, but have nothing to fill it and no means to furnish it. In short, it is an empty space."

A recent trip to the Mission of Deeds in Reading by one club member revealed that there are items DESPERATELY needed.

1. Twin Bedspreads, Comforters, Blankets and Sheets.
2. Pots and Pans
3. Small Appliances (coffee pots, toasters, microwaves, etc.)

If you wish to donate any of these items, they can be dropped off Mon - Fri 9am - 4Pm or 2nd Saturday of each month 9am - 12 noon at:
