New Rules regarding race results and award points
New Race Reporting Rules The Board of Directors has decided that race results data for use in determining awards at the banquet will now come only from the online system, http://www.mysticrunners.com/results, and not from NewSprint. For the past 12 years I have asked you to send results to me via email. In addition I (and for the past few years, Ace and I) scour the various results sites (Coolrunning, iResults, Millennium, 3CRace, etc.) to find as many more as possible. We will continue to do that, but, per the board, those results will not be entered into the awards database. Our awards season runs from Nov. 1 to Oct. 31. Your NewSprint results from last October through last May have been entered for you, but, for them to count at our next banquet, you are required to enter your results from May until now. If needed, copies of May-July NewSprints can be found Here Again, we will continue to look for your results for inclusion in NewSprint and, as always, I appreciate an email with your results. Lynn Woods Relay- Important Information
UPDATE, 8/12/19 We have 13 teams registered for the Lynn Woods Relay, to be held August 21st. See 8/11 NewSprint for full listing. Lynn Woods Relay - A Message from Coach Dave Rand I'm just starting recruiting for the Lynn Woods Relay which is Wednesday, August 21st at 6 p.m., six weeks from this past Wednesday. We'll put together as many teams as possible. If you want to put your own team together running with your amigos let me know that as well. Otherwise I'll try to put teams together as people sign on. I think we can be strong in a lot of divisions, though, it isn't all about winning. It would be great to increase the number of teams as we went from 8 to 11 to 14 the last two years. Our participation at the Lake and at the Grand Prix races has been very strong and I think that is possible here as well. Registration details for the Lynn Woods RELAY on August 21, 2019. Event Details: Wednesday, August 21, 2019 @ 6 pm Lynn Woods Reservation in Lynn, MA Please follow these instructions if you are interested in participating in the Lynn Woods Relay Send an email to: mysticrunnersrelays@gmail.com Leave your full name, if you already have a team you want to run with, and let us know you are "in". This is the only method to express interest in participating, no exceptions. There are 4 runners to a team and each runner runs a 2.5 mile leg. David Rand Coach Mystic Runners |
All Members Meeting
All-Club Meeting Rescheduled for 7/24/19. The all-club meeting, originally scheduled for last Wednesday, has been postponed until Wednesday, July 24th. Because of numerous conflicts (a certain hockey game, a Reading 375 event, the Louise Rossetti 5K and more) it was felt that a delay was best. At the meeting we will cover bylaw changes recommended by the board of directors. Club Secretary Monique Plourde will be sending out the proposed changes before the meeting for member review. Also there will be handouts that evening. |
