2024-2025 Candidate Bios
Candidate for President
(Incumbent)
Objective: My objective is to serve as President for a third term to continue to guide the Mystic Runners Club to be a welcoming and inclusive Club for runners and all members, both old and new. I continue to see positive energy in the Club with new board members, new volunteers, and new Coordinators over the past couple of years for Track, the Mystic website, Lynn Woods Relay and Mill Cities Relay. Our Wednesday 5k Race and Thursday Track have seen a slow but steady growth each and every week. This past year we were able to work with the Lakeside Inn to allow the Mystics Runners to continue to use their parking lot for our weekly 5K, and their Waves Restaurant as our home base again for after the race. This while still maintaining a strong relationship with the Knights of Columbus as a location for many of our other Mystic events.
I truly hope as members you are seeing a positive change in the Club, and I hope I have your vote!

Candidate for Member-at-Large
I’m running for an at large position on the BOD. I’ve been member of the Mystics since June of 2021. I enjoy the community and competition. I participate in the Grand Prix, Lake Q 5ks and track. This year I was able to volunteer on the Santa Dash and Scholarship Committees as well as Lake Q. I have also volunteered for B.A.A. packet stuffing and Eastern States and various other events on behalf of the club. I want to continue to help grow the club and bring inclusivity. I have great ideas that I can bring to the club and feel being part of the BOD is the best way to bring those forward.
Candidate for Member-at-Large
(Incumbent)
Objective: To have a voice in the growth of the club. Many businesses and clubs are struggling still. I look back at the work a select few did to keep the club viable during Covid. I often think the club may not have made it if it wasn’t for their passion. I would like a more active role in the success and growth of the club.
Club member: 8 years approximately possibly little longer
Prior club officer: Member-at-Large for two years
Club Volunteerism: Wednesday night Q run, sweep, snack table, finish line; Marathon bag stuffing, run to remember water stop, Participant Q run, Mill cities, Track, Grand Prix, Oyes
Relatable Experience: Genera Manager local restaurants 30+years - sales, budget, manage cost, payroll, hiring firing, managing 40-60 employees.
Candidate for Member-at-Large
Objective: Promote the benefits of community, health, and wellness. Be instrumental in guiding runners to the finish line. Work with the planning team on Grand Prix’s ahead of time.
How long you have been a club member: I joined Mystics April of 2015.
Club Volunteerism: I volunteer for BAA events, Santa Dash, Boston R2R and at the Lake. It takes a village to support each other no matter what the role. Volunteering is another great way to engage with the community and meet people from diverse backgrounds.
Relatable Experience: I shall describe myself in three words.
Approachable -- This allows me to easily build rapport with those who I interact with, making them comfortable and trusting me with their voice.
Second, trustworthy - My experience in customer success at work and managing yoga studios has taught me that trust forms the backbone of lasting client relationships. I’m known for keeping commitments, making decisions with integrity, and genuinely caring about the outcomes for both my clients and members. This has allowed me to foster dependable partnerships and build solid client confidence.
Lastly, calm - I bring a sense of calm and make people feel heard and safe. In high-pressure environments, this quality has enabled me to de-escalate challenges, helping navigate even the most difficult situations with clarity.
This year, Dave Corbett and the BOD's have put in their trust and confidence in me to represent Mystics for the Mill Cities Relay event. I believe I am ready to have a seat at the table.
